AUTOMATED SYSTEM DESIGN FOR METRO TRAIN
Automated System Design for Metro Train.doc (Size: 1.48 MB / Downloads: 115)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project consists of microcontroller with the RFID reader and the voice recorder chip with speaker .The whole system is attached to the vehicle (BUS or Train). The encoded RFID tags are placed in the BUS stops or the railway stations. The microcontroller in the TRAIN is programmed in such a way that every station name saved in the voice chip which is having a unique code. So whenever the bus or train reaches the station, the receiver in the bus or in the train receives the codes, which are transmitted form the transmitter and the microcontroller receives this code and checks in the look up table, saved in the chip. Which ever matches, the controller will send the command to the voice chip to play that particular voice. At the same time the train stops for about 10-15 seconds in the station and then before leaving the station, it will again start to announce “PLEASE GET INTO THE TRAIN, THE TRAIN WILL LEAVE IN 6 SEC” and the train starts to move to next station. The voice chip will play the voice and this will be heard in the speaker. This voice is repeated till the train leaves the station.
Embedded Systems
An embedded system is a special-purpose computer system designed to perform one or a few dedicated functions, often with real-time computing constraints. It is usually embedded as part of a complete device including hardware and mechanical parts. In contrast, a general-purpose computer, such as a personal computer, can do many different tasks depending on programming. Embedded systems control many of the common devices in use today.
Micro Controllers
The micro controller, nowadays, is an indispensable device for electrical/electronic engineers and also for technicians in the area, because of its versatility and its enormous application. .Born of parallel developments in computer architecture and integrated circuit fabrication ,the microprocessor or computer on chip first becomes a commercial reality in 1971.with the introduction of the 4 bit 4004 by a small, unknown company by the name of Intel corporation. Other, well established, semiconductor firms soon followed Intel’s pioneering technology so that by the late 1970’s we could choose from a half dozen or so micro processor typThe 1970s also saw the growth of the number of personal computer users from a Handful of hobbyists and hackers to millions of business, industrial, governmental, defense, and educational and private users now enjoying the advantages of inexpensive computing.
Microcontroller IC AT89S52:
A microcontroller (sometimes abbreviated µC, uC or MCU) is a small computer on a single integrated circuit containing a processor core, memory, and programmable input/output peripherals. Program memory in the form of NOR flash or OTP ROM is also often included on chip, as well as a typically small amount of RAM. Microcontrollers are designed for embedded applications, in contrast to the microprocessors used in personal computers or other general purpose applications.
Description of AT89S52:
The AT89S52 is a low-power, high-performance CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with 8Kbytes of in-system programmable Flash memory. The device is manufactured using Atmel’s high-density non-volatile memory technology and is compatible with the industry-standard 80C51 instruction set and pin-out.
