68.5% to 73.8%
Carbohydrates:
(20 to 30)%
Proteins.
(1 to 2.5)%
Fats.
Almost 1%
Pectins.
(0.7 to 1.2)%
Vitamins and minerals.
Vit.A, Vit .B, etc. and Ca,Mg and P.
Phenolic compounds and pigments.
Flavanoids,dopamine,beta-carotene etc.
Banana Peel Utilization
Sources of starch,crude protein,fat,total dietary fibre and polyunsaturated fatty acids.
Extraction of banana oil(amyl acetate).
Good sources of lignin(6-12)%,pectin(10-21)%,cellulose(7.6-9.6)% etc.
Use for making wine and high concentration of micronutrients.
Substrate for biogas productions.
As a fertiliser and alkali source.
