The knowledge acquired in schools and colleges, I believe is not education, but the means to it. I have had the good fortune of studying with many great teachers who have been a source of constant inspiration. I have excelled in both studies and Co-Curricular activities, from the very beginning of my academic career. I am an enthusiastic, knowledge-hungry learner with high analytical thinking who is eager to meet new challenges. I am a result-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organizational skills, a flexible team player, responsible person who is committed to excellence and success.
My research is in the general area of CFD analysis, Heat Transfer and Renewable energy. My research program reflects and highlights the applicability of these subjects to a diverse and varied energy domains and fields. My research approach emphasizes exploiting physical insights in a mathematically rigorous manner, and experimental verification of our theories. After 1st year my interest in research field increased and I started a project under the supervision of one of my Professor. I have completed two paper under his guidance. First paper is “BIODIESEL AS AN ALTERNATIVE FUEL FOR CI ENGINES” and second paper is “COMBUSTION, PERFORMANCE AND EMISSION CHARACTERISTICS OF DIESEL ENGINE FUELED WITH MAHUA OIL METHYL ESTER BLENDED DIESEL WITH METHANOL ADDITIVES”.After Second year I was selected as one of the many students (all over India) to do research Internship in National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya for one month. During this period, I had the first brush with WankelEngine and Porous Media and I have done a CFD Analysis on Wankel engine to calculate the thermal stress and pressure generated inside it in the presence of porous media. I have also completed a paper on the topic “CFD ANALYSIS OF COMBUSTION IN A WANKEL ENGINE IN THE PRESENCE OF POROUS MEDIA”. In this paper combustion behaviour inside the rotary engine with application of porous material is studied with CFD and comparison is done considering various parameters viz. pressure, temperature and flame area density. After coming back from NIT, I started to work in the field of Solar Energy and proposed an improved Integrated Solar Water Heater. The project acquainted me with the research-oriented approach and the success fostered in me a keen desire to further explore and excel on the research front. Based on my work I completed a paper on the topic “EXPERIMENTAL PERFORMANCE OF SOLAR WATER SYSTEM INTEGRATED WITH LATENT THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE”. At SRM my research interests were kindled when I got an opportunity to work with an Official research team funded by my college on Vaccine cold chain box. Currently I am working on different Phase Change Materials (PCM) and Evaporative cooling pads which will improve the storing efficiency and storing time for the vaccine box. During my work, the interactions with fellow researchers and senior investigators have not only helped me clear my fundamentals but also helped me to widen my horizons of understanding real life problems.
This internship is an opportunity where my qualifications can make a difference. This internship will help me learn things better & working with an institution like yours will give me more exposure & experience .I am a determined, optimistic young mind who looks forward to making an essential contribution in science by the use of my knowledge and more than my knowledge it is my interest in research that needs guidance, which I need from you.
I hope to get to learn everything practically and implement it in a direction that would help mankind in the near future .I hope to contribute my knowledge in that field and take a lot many good memories and ideas back to my home.
