Abstracts: The design of intze tank is widely carried out satisfactorily all over the globe by membrane design by considering all components acting individual by considering all the joints discontinuous. However in reality, this case does not prevail and all the joints are rigid and continuous and hence continuity effect will obviously occur. However the continuity effect will lead to generate the meridional moment and also alters hoop stress. However it will give quite considerable effect in some component. This project is based on the both the method of design i.e. membrane design and continuity analysis of intze tank and also show the difference in forces and meridional moment and amount of reinforcement variation i.e. increase or decrease and then concluding the suitability of adoption of the design method.
