DESIGN AND SIMULATION OF 4 BIT BINARY ADDERS
THEORY:
The arithmetic functions such as addition and subtraction can be performed using binary numbers. These types of operations are central to building a computer. The addition of binary numbers is based on the “+” identity. Aside from the existence of a carry bit, we see that adding two numbers together has the same result as the exclusive –OR (XOR) logic operation. The carry bit that is generated when adding 1 plus 1 can be better understood if we examine the addition oftwo 2-bits words and their corresponding decimal values.
For binary adder ,it has three inputs A and B which are the data and C which is the input carry bit . The sum is denoted by S and carry is by C,when all the symbols are given then the sum has some expressions with the carry expressions.
CONCLUSION:
After getting the test bench waveform and RTL schematic of the required experiment (4 bit binary adders) the program is successfully downloaded to the FPGA kit.
