Abstracts: A simple three dimensional model of a two- storey building is tested for evaluation of soil-structure interaction effects by measuring displacement of the model. The displacement of the model structre was measured with unique and cost-effective approach by mounting two laser light on the model and taking projection on a graph paper and recorded by HD camera. Two comparative experiment were carried out one with Fixed base analysis is done by preparing various displacement vs. time graph of 1st and 2nd storey of varying frequency. A pile foundation consists of 4 group piles is constructed for experimental study of seismic response of scaled model. By taking proper assumption the model accommodates both the static and dynamic interaction effects. Dynamic analysis of the model is performed and modal parameters are developed which helped to determine the mode shape and Base shear (Vb) of the structure. Soil container and other apparatus are prepared so that project can be carry out experiments considering the effects of Soil-Structure Interaction.
