sqr. root concept
eg.: sqrt(1)=+-1(Incorrect) sqrt(1)=1(correct) Because,it’s value depends on it’s sign. Means, ‘+ sqrt’ gives only +ve value & ‘-sqrt’ assign only –ve value. So, sqrt(1)=1.
Absolute value or mod.concept
|x|={x, if x>0 -x,if x<0 0, if x=0} ie. Value of |x|>=0 for x belongs to R R->real scale so, ‘|x|’->non-negative value. eg. |2|=2, Here 2>0 and |-2| = -(-2) = 2 Here -2<0
Conclusion:-
Both sqrt. &mod. of x having non-negatine values.
