The concept of ‘MANAGEMENT’ is mainly applicable to the functioning of any ‘ORGANISATION’.
A ’Visionary’ person thinks about the business opportunities and decides the ‘GOAL’.
Different people having ‘requisite set of skill’ join such activity and thus an ‘Organisation’ is formed.
A team of people working together as an ‘Organisation’ needs systematic and organised resources and flow of activities to enable them accomplish the predetermined GOAL of the organisation.

Ingredients of any Organization
OBJECTIVE – Clarifying the GOAL of the Organisation for it’s existence (The basic purpose of existence )
STRUCTURE – Instruments to Translate Objective with well defined Authority.
SYSTEMS – A set of Rules & Regulations which will make the structure effective and meaningful to achieve the Objective.
PEOPLE – The most important factor to make the dream come true by making all the above parameters effective.
MANAGEMENT
MANAGEMENT is defined as – ‘The process of designing and maintaining the environment in which every individual using specific skill, working together in group, can effectively contribute towards accomplishment of predetermined GOAL of the Organisation’.
For effective MANAGEMENT, the Manager is required to have clear knowledge and understanding of the Organisation’s GOAL / Objective.
Human Resource Management
H R M is most important branch of Management as it deals with MOST ‘Unpredictable’ factor in any Organisation.
Money, Machine and Material are other factors required for running any Organisation All these factors give predictable results and hence easy to Manage.
H R M is responsible for all the formalities and policies; and taking care of all aspects of ‘Human side’ of enterprise.

Human Resource Management is the organizational function that deals with issues related to people such as –Recruitment & Selection, compensation, performance management, organization development, safety, Welfare benefits, employee motivation, communication, administration, and training.
Importance of H R M
Effective HRM enables employees to contribute effectively and productively to the overall company direction and the accomplishment of the organization's goals and objectives.
Therefore, every ‘Manager’ must understand the basics of ‘Human Resource Management’. It helps ‘Manager’ to improve his effectiveness.
