The power generation companies ,power grid companies and load service entities belong to different economic bodies.
Hence system operations,planning and design, the consideration of factors impacting system security and reliability is needed.
Control of security and reliability should be based on the analysis of cost and profit so as to get a balance between reliability and economic.
To guarantee the level of voltage stability enough reactive power compensation is required necessarily.
Risk in power system under market environment
The rapid change of power flow causes network block and affect the safety of the power grid.
For maximum profit the power generating plant would raise the use of ratio of generators , and overhauling for equipment may also be reduced.
If reactive power compensation is not done, safety of power supply would be threatened & the quality would be decreased.
So people must pay attention to the risks, identify and keep them away so as to reduce losses.
