Abstracts: Bridge construction in today’s era has achieved worldwide importance. The number and size of bridges have been continuously increasing in last 50 years in India. Man’s increasing mobility through motorized transport has caused complex form of bridge to be built. To cope up with this demand, tremendous efforts are put in by public and private sectors. A common problem at major railway crossings in the country concerns with the delays of the road traffic volumes. In this project, we analyze the reduction in this delays from this perspective, utilizing a cost-benefit approach that explains why the incentive structure is required to reduce the traffic volume and solve such problems likely.
