Abstracts: This case study is an autopsy of a residential building from a civil engineer's point of view. The study includes site visits, observations, awareness and learning about different techniques and materials, studying drawing and relating it with already executed and on-going execution work, asking queries and interaction sessions with engineers, challenges faced during each stage. The overall objective of a case study is to develop a detailed assessment of the current level of use of modern methods of construction and market size in different construction sectors, identifying positive and negative factors influencing construction standards. The focus of the study is on developing a scoping document reviewing key information and features of project, construction methods, technology adopted and substantial aspects. This project case study is a big step forward towards comprehending and learning about the different complex situations and challenges faced by the civil engineers.
