Abstracts: The present report depicts the structural design of a hypothetical residential building having G+ 1 floor using the structural design software known as BUILD-MASTER. For the structural design, the dimensions of different structures such as beam, column, footing, slab, roof, etc. are calculated first. Then the different load calculation are performed by considering dead load and live load(imposed load) using the formula:- 1.50 DL + 1.50 IL The calculation is divided into different levels:- • Plinth level • First floor • Roof level The plinth level comprises the calculation of footing, column and beam according to the loads acting on the structural members and according to the dimension of the structural members. The first floor level comprises the calculation of slab, column and beam according to the loads acting on the structural members and according to the dimension of the structural members. The roof level comprises the calculation of slab and beam according to the loads acting on the structural members and according to the dimension of the structural members. The methodology used is LIMIT STATE METHOD. All the data are inputted in the build-master software and thus the required steel for respective structural members is obtained with different diagrams such as bending moment, shear force, loading, and deflection. The main objective of design of structural members using BUILD-MASTER is to obtain steels requirement for respective members in a more simple way as compared to the traditional way using different codes.
