Abstracts: Abstract In our last semester we undertook a project on Modern formwork where we compared conventional formwork with modern formwork on different aspects such as time, cost and labour. But due to unavailability of plastic formwork in current market, it was not possible for us to do a further study on it, thus we changed our topic to Cost Estimation of G+3 Buildings. Estimation is the scientific way of working out the approximate cost of an engineering project before execution of the work. Before undertaking the construction of a project it is necessary to know its probable cost required to complete the proposed work. The purpose of estimating is to determine the forecast costs required to complete a project in accordance with the contrast plans and specifications. The estimator can produce, within reasonable accuracy, the total costs for a given project. The main purpose of this study is to learn how the cost estimation is done, as it is the basic necessity for undertaking any construction. Thus for the same study, estimation of G+3 buildings are taken, as it would give an advantage of understanding all the parameters of cost estimation. Quantity estimate technique has been used to carry out the following study. Thus it would help us to understand the total material required to undertake a project along with their quantities and to understand the total cost of executing a project along with cost of substructure and superstructure.
