Abstracts: Uses of Mineral Admixture in Light weight concrete helps in improving bonding of ingredients & making the light weight concrete thereby reducing dead load & cost of structure. Various performance of Light weight concrete is achieved in practice by using selection of Mineral admixture & appropriate mix design to achieve the desire performance objective. Light weight concrete can be produced by replacing the normal aggregates in concrete either partially or fully, depending upon the requirements of density and strength levels. The present study covers the use of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) beads as lightweight aggregate, in concrete. The main aim of this project is to study the mechanical properties of EPS concrete containing Fly ash and compare the results with these in literature on concrete containing OPC(53 grade) alone as the binder. Our aim of the project is to improve the properties of concrete by using admixtures for M-25 grade concrete by using mineral admixtures like Fly ash & Polystyrene beads. The project is to improve the properties of M-25 grade concrete which gives the strength & workability in concrete. Supplementary cementation material such as fly ash is often used in light weight concrete. All these materials increase the compressive strength and workability of the concrete. When cement & aggregate can be replaced at some proportion and some trial dosage by cementation materials like Fly ash & Polystyrene beads respectively.
