Approach for solving Environmental Problems
Impact of Environmentally Ethical changes on Society
INTRODUCTION
Environmental ethics is the study of moral issues concerning environment and ecosystem.
Engineers work as servants of society and thus their prime aim should be benefit society with their technical knowledge and innovation.
We have observed increasing awareness in environmental conditions and it’s preservation among people.
Adoption of eco-friendly norms & green technology by major industries.
ETHICAL PROBLEMS & ITS ISSUES:
In our country we have ethical problems like:
1) increase of population.
2) decrease of natural resources.
They have serious environmentally ill effects.
We know that democratic controls include establishing rules & norms, stringent legislation, control equipment etc.
Think before taking up a activity
To what extent industry effects
Can be controlled?
Status of measures to control
What is our responsibility?
Our activities to reduce effect
COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
Based on utilitaranium, problem is seen through the angle what benefits achieved by reducing pollution
Objective:not to achieve completely clean,to find optimum combination b/w costs&benefits
To be seen that the benefits are more than the costs involved
CONCLUSION
When the ecosystem was not understood, or even recognized or appreciated as a system; when the earth and its wilderness were believed to be too vast to be damaged by voluntary human choice; at such a time, there was no environmental ethics. But in our own time we have revalidated the myth of Genesis, for in our own time, with knowledge has come power, and with both knowledge and power, we have lost our innocence.
