Variability in sensitivity of Phomopsis vexans isolates against fungicides
Abstract
An experiment was conducted to study the variability in the eighteen isolates of Phomopsis vexans sensitivity against ten different fungicides, two systemic, four combination and four non-systemic fungicides at two concentrations for each using poisoned food technique. Each isolate was collected from different locations from the diseased brinjal leaves and fruits. Variability in sensitivity of P.vexans against each fungicide was recorded on the basis of inhibition percentage. It was observed that the isolates with higher inhibition percentage were more sensitive than the isolates with lower inhibition percentage over control in case of each fungicide. Considerable variations were recorded among P.vexans isolates on the basis of their inhibition percentage in their sensitivity against each fungicide at both the concentrations.
